Software Terms of Use
Note: This English version is a translation provided for convenience. In case of conflict between this translation and the Spanish original, the Spanish version prevails for legal purposes.
IMPORTANT NOTICE — READ BEFORE USING THE SOFTWARE:
Multidrone software (including ArduParams, the Log Analyzer and future tools) is an indicative tool to assist drone operators in configuration, analysis and maintenance tasks. It does not replace pilot judgment or the official documentation of the autopilot or aircraft manufacturer. Ultimate responsibility for configuration, flight and operational decisions always rests with the operator.
1. Acceptance of terms
Use of the software available at multidrone.es (hereinafter, "the Software") implies full acceptance of these terms. If you do not agree with any of them, do not use the Software.
2. License of use
The user is granted a free, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to use the freely accessible Software (currently ArduParams) under the following terms:
- You are allowed to use the Software for personal and commercial purposes.
- You are allowed to install it as a Progressive Web App (PWA) on personal devices.
- You are NOT allowed to redistribute the Software under another name or as your own.
- You are NOT allowed to reverse-engineer, decompile or deobfuscate the source code.
- You are NOT allowed to remove copyright or attribution marks from the Software.
Paid products (when launched) will be subject to a specific commercial license that will be published at the time of their availability.
3. Use of the Configuration Auditor
The ArduParams "Auditor" module applies heuristic rules to detect potentially dangerous or suboptimal configurations. These rules are indicative and do not cover all possible cases or all particularities of each aircraft, mission or operational environment.
The user must:
- Always verify recommendations against the official ArduPilot documentation (ardupilot.org).
- Validate any parameter changes in a test bench or controlled flights before critical operations.
- Apply professional judgment to any discrepancy between what the Auditor suggests and your organization's standard practice.
4. Use of the Log Analyzer (when available)
The Analyzer generates automated technical analyses of informational value, based on the data contained in the logs provided by the user.
These analyses DO NOT constitute:
- Official expert reports with forensic value.
- Technical opinions with legal probative value.
- Reports with effects on administrative, judicial or insurance proceedings.
- Substitution for the technical judgment of qualified personnel.
For judicial proceedings, insurance claims, official investigations or any process requiring formal expert assessment, the Analyzer findings must be reviewed, validated and signed by qualified personnel with the corresponding professional qualifications (chartered aeronautical experts, aeronautical engineers, authorized maintenance technicians, etc.).
The system suggests technical hypotheses based on patterns detected in the data. The final decision on operations, maintenance, repairs or investigation conclusions always rests with the operator or authorized professional personnel.
Each report generated by the Analyzer will include a similar notice embedded in the document itself.
5. Privacy and data
ArduParams runs entirely in the user's browser. Uploaded files are never sent to Multidrone servers. See the Privacy Policy for more details on how contact emails and other personal data are managed.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. This includes, without limitation, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness or availability. The operator is solely responsible for verifying that the Software fits their operational needs before using it in critical environments.
7. Limitation of liability
IN NO EVENT shall the Software owner be liable for:
- Direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use the Software.
- Loss of aircraft, equipment, data, revenue or any other economic damage.
- Accidents, incidents or operational events arising from the application of configurations suggested by the Software without proper verification.
- Misinterpretations of reports generated by the Log Analyzer.
The user assumes total risk of using the Software. It is strongly recommended to always perform on-site safety checks and test flights before real operations after applying any modified configuration with the Software.
8. Software modifications
The owner reserves the right to update, modify or discontinue the Software at any time without prior notice. Users will be informed of substantial changes through the Site or by email if they provided one.
9. ArduPilot and PX4 community
10. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any conflict shall be submitted to the Courts and Tribunals of the owner's domicile, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
